Training & Quizzes

Quiz scores are based on the percentage of correct answers. Each quiz has multiple questions across categories like preflop strategy, pot odds, position play, and hand reading. The quiz system accepts case-insensitive responses and provides detailed explanations after each question (Basic and Premium plans get more detailed explanations). Your quiz history and accuracy rates are tracked on your Stats page.

Spaced repetition is a learning technique that presents concepts you struggle with more frequently, while spacing out topics you have already mastered. MyPokerCoach uses this approach in its training engine to optimize your study time. If you miss a pot odds question, for example, similar problems will appear more often until you consistently answer correctly. This method is proven to improve long-term retention compared to random practice.

Your Dashboard shows your current streak, total XP, achievements, daily challenge status, and category-level progress. For deeper analytics, visit your Stats page to see accuracy breakdowns, performance trends, and skill ratings over time. Premium users also receive weekly performance reports via email.

Every day, a new challenge is generated on your Dashboard. Daily challenges test a mix of skills — you might get a hand analysis problem, a pot odds calculation, or a position-based decision. Completing your daily challenge earns bonus XP and contributes to your training streak. The streak counter resets if you miss a day, so consistent practice is rewarded.

The Correct Move Trainer presents you with realistic poker scenarios and asks you to choose the optimal action (fold, call, raise, or all-in). Each decision is evaluated against expected value (EV) calculations. After each hand, you receive a detailed explanation of why the correct play is optimal, including the math behind it. This is one of the most effective ways to develop strong decision-making instincts.

Yes. Your training history is preserved on your Stats page, where you can see accuracy breakdowns by category, performance trends over time, and your skill ratings. Premium users also have access to detailed hand history from multiplayer sessions.

Multiplayer

Multiplayer tables are available to Premium subscribers. Navigate to the Tables page and click "Create Table." You can configure the table name, player count, blind levels, and starting chips. Once created, other Premium players can join from the tables lobby, or you can invite friends directly using the table invitation system.

Yes. Use the Friends system to search for and add other players. Once connected, you can send table invitations directly to your friends. The friends system also shows online presence, so you can see who is currently available to play. Both the inviting player and the friend need Premium subscriptions to participate in multiplayer tables.

If you lose your internet connection during a hand, the server preserves your seat and chip stack. Your hand will be auto-folded if action reaches you while disconnected. When you reconnect, you will be placed back at the table with your remaining chips. The game state is maintained server-side, so no information is lost. If you are disconnected for an extended period, you may be removed from the table by the host.

Yes. Premium subscribers can join any active table as a spectator. Navigate to the Tables lobby and click on any table to watch the action live. Spectators see community cards and player actions in real time, but do not see any player's hole cards until showdown. You can switch from spectating to playing if a seat becomes available.

Tournaments

The Tournament Final Table Trainer is an AI-powered simulation where you play a final table against bot opponents. You choose the table size (6-max or 9-max) and difficulty level (easy, medium, or hard). The simulation includes realistic blind level progression, ICM pressure, and opponents with distinct playing styles. After the session, you receive a detailed summary with hand-by-hand analysis of your key decisions.

ICM (Independent Chip Model) is a mathematical model that converts tournament chip stacks into real-money equity based on the prize structure. Unlike cash games where every chip has equal value, in tournaments a chip you lose is worth more than a chip you gain. ICM affects your decision-making significantly at final tables — it can make calling all-in with strong hands incorrect if the payout jumps are large enough. Coach Ace uses advanced AI to provide real-time, streaming responses in a natural chat interface. It has deep knowledge of Texas Hold'em strategy including preflop ranges, pot odds, equity calculations, GTO concepts, ICM, and exploitative play. Your conversations are saved so you can revisit previous discussions. The coach is rate-limited to 50 messages per day, which provides plenty of room for in-depth hand reviews and strategy sessions.

Account & Billing

Visit the Pricing page and select the plan you want. You will be redirected to a secure Stripe checkout page to complete the payment. Your account is upgraded immediately upon successful payment. If you are upgrading from Basic to Premium, you will be credited for the remaining time on your current plan. You can also manage your subscription from the Settings page.

You can cancel your subscription at any time from your Settings page. When you cancel, your premium features remain active until the end of your current billing period. After that, your account reverts to the Free plan. Your training data, stats, and progress are never deleted — if you resubscribe later, everything will be waiting for you.

If you are not satisfied with your subscription, contact us through the Contact page within 7 days of purchase. We handle refund requests on a case-by-case basis. The Basic plan includes a 7-day free trial, so you can try all the core features before committing to a paid subscription.

You can request a data export from the Settings page. This includes your training history, quiz results, hand histories, and performance stats. The export is provided as a downloadable file. If you need help, reach out through the Contact page.

Yes. All payments are processed through Stripe, a PCI Level 1 certified payment processor. MyPokerCoach never stores your credit card number — it is handled entirely by Stripe's secure infrastructure. You can manage your payment methods and view invoices directly through Stripe's customer portal, accessible from your Settings page.

You can update your email address and password from the Settings page. For password changes, you will need to enter your current password for verification. If you have forgotten your password, use the password reset link on the Login page.

Technical

MyPokerCoach supports the latest versions of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Microsoft Edge. We recommend keeping your browser up to date for the best experience. The site also works on mobile browsers (iOS Safari, Chrome for Android). JavaScript must be enabled. If you experience any issues, try clearing your browser cache or disabling browser extensions that may interfere with the site.

Rate limits protect the service from abuse and ensure a smooth experience for all users. If you see a rate limit notice, simply wait for the countdown timer to expire and try again. AI Coach has a limit of 50 messages per day and 10 requests per minute. Training tools and API requests have generous limits that most users will never reach during normal usage.

MyPokerCoach is a progressive web app (PWA) and some features may work offline after initial load, such as reading course content you have previously visited. However, most features — including quizzes, training drills, multiplayer, and AI Coach — require an active internet connection. You can install the PWA to your device's home screen for faster load times and a more app-like experience.
